about styles

I was packing my boxes-full of earrings the other day, when my sister told me, "I'm sorry to say this, but I feel sorry that you do not have your own style."

I agree, looking at my 20+ pairs of earrings (and I don't even wear earrings much), there's no distinctive 'type'. They range from cheapo plastic colour hoops, to dainty 'diamond', pearls , to punkish big metal studs, to chandelier faux-gems of exaggerating lengths and weights.

And then I told her, "Yeah, I know. I'm a Gemini, and we like variety, and spontaneity."

Truth is, sometimes I wish I have a style of my own. Like the people around me.

Raaho's definitely girly + modern taitai.
Sharon's Taiwanese-fashion.
Mummy's a little bohemian + ethnic.
Fiona's sporty chic.
QQ's girl-next-door sweetie pie.
Sister's after atas kinda chic (though she sometimes is too lazy and walks around in tees & shorts)
And everyone knows YY is still into the glamour-puss, bombshell look all these years.

Some people have styles so distinctive, you don't need to know them THAT well to point out their styles.

Irene, for example, is the Bugis Queen. Her style's cutesy, yet she manages to carry off the cutesy clothes without looking cutesy.

Audrey's modern, career-women, executive style. Pointed heels, expensive-looking watches, and never has eyeliner/mascara smudges.

And me? I'm sometimes this, sometimes that. Though my sis thinks that if I were really to be categorised, I would fall into street-style. sounds cool eh? LOL

BUT how to be 'street-style' when I spend 5 days at work every week! Is there a street-style executive label? Doubt so.

Urgh. And then, I though, hmm, I should AT LEAST have a something that represents ME. Something that people will associate with JUNNE.

And before I decide what it should be, Audrey made me realise I already have one! :) :D

She said, 'I saw this ring in UK, and it reminded me of you.'

yay! I found it!! CHUNKY RINGS!!

Chunky rings represents MEEEeee!! HahAHaaa.. i found myself a ME-thing.

Cool.
