Can people really change?

or is that that when you think they've changed, they're actually just revealing what they've been concealing all the while?

or maybe they are just temporarily 'switching' to another 'mode' on their primal self-preservation instinct, in order to achieve something to their own gain?

I was watching TV just now, and this little boy has never ever had gotten physically close to his father, because he was born crippled and his dad despises this fact. He blames it all on his wife, and caused her to suffer a mental breakdown. But after a stern reprimanding from his son's counsellor, he suddenly decided to start taking care of his wife & son. For the first time in 12 years, he carried his son up the stairs. The boy was so happy because he thought his dad has changed. We all did, except me.

I was thinking, how realistic is that? How many of those dramas we watch on TV actually happens in real life? How realistic is it to expect a cheating husband to feel guilty and starts to treasure his ugly but devoted wife after his foxy mistress cheats of all his money, and only the wife whom he abuses is the only one willing to help him?

Chances are, women are not that dumb these days (though there still are smart yet dumb-in-love ones). And men. Men, they NEVER learn.

The world is too complicated for my comprehension.

Either that, or my mind is working too hard unnecessarily.

I think its a combi of both.

Lock me up. Hide me away. & leave me to grow on my own.
